Hello May,

Welcome to the turning point where the internal begins to match what’s happening in nature.

May can feel like a turning point. Something internal begins to match what’s happening in nature. The slower introspective rhythm of earlier months starts to shift. There’s more openness, more desire, more willingness to engage with life again. In a natural unfolding, just as the ferns outside have unwound to stretch in the warmth.

This is one of the reasons May has always been associated with fertility, creativity and expression in different spiritual traditions. In the Celtic wheel of the year, this energy is honoured through Beltane, a celebration of life force, passion, and the union between earth and human experience. But even outside of ritual or tradition, you can feel it in everyday life. Things are growing faster, your ideas come more easily and there is a subtle pressure to act on what has been quietly forming inside you.

What makes May interesting is that it doesn’t demand urgency. It asks you to notice what is already moving in you and to respond to it gently, rather than forcefully. This is where many people get stuck. They feel the rising energy but try to rush it into outcomes. May doesn’t work well with forcing; it responds better to alignment.

Below is how to work with the energy of May and my personal bucket list for the month.

I’m Emma, and I share my lived magic here with my rituals, reflections, and the reality of building a life that feels true rather than impressive. It’s honest, sometimes messy, always real. If something in you is stirring as you read, this is also the work I hold space for. As a witch and intuitive guide, I support women through these in-between chapters, helping you reconnect with your own inner knowing. If it speaks to you, stay awhile. Subscribe and walk this path with me, or reach out to explore working together. This space is for women who are remembering themselves. Slowly, gently, sometimes awkwardly.
